Thank You

NIKI:
This is the first time I have ever trained for a race and really wanted to quit.  I am physically and mentally exhausted.  There are days I think about how I could justify quitting and then I think of you...each one of you faithful blog readers with all your encouragement and support...and I smile and suck it up!  Thank you.  As long as God continues to bless me with good health I will continue to count on you for the mental strength and accountability.  Thank you.  So keep reading and I'll keep running!  And thank you.

  3. Hi there! I know that you ladies don't know me(although I met Niki at the ladies retreat a year or so ago), but I have found such inspiration from your blog and your journey. I ran the Komen Austin 5k and my first race ever about a year ago in honor of my momma who had just been diagnosed with breast cancer. I have run off and on since then, but recently was challenged to do another race. This time, it's a 10k. My body is not exactly built for running..at all...but I find a huge accomplishment when I'm able to complete a run and I know that I could have never done it without God's help and His divine intervention. And then there's you girls. You are quite amazing and give me a boost of "I can do this!!!" So thank you. And God bless you.

  4. Lisa & Niki,
Unfortunately, I just now saw this sweet note and I do have to say that fortunately, God's timing is perfect, b/c I needed your words of encouragement today! Isn't God amazing like that? Thank you and God bless you both!
